Drift collects only the information needed to provide voice-first capture, transcription, organization, reminders, and optional Pro features.

• Voice recordings while you press and hold the microphone to capture a thought.
• Speech transcription text generated from your recording.
• Thoughts you save in the app, including tasks, ideas, notes, reminders, completion status, and scheduled dates.
• Usage and subscription status needed to enforce free limits, unlock Pro features, restore purchases, and diagnose issues.
• Device permissions you grant, such as microphone, speech recognition, notifications, Face ID, reminders, or calendar access where enabled.

• To transcribe voice captures and organize them into tasks, ideas, notes, and reminders.
• To schedule local notifications and daily review reminders if you enable them.
• To sync eligible items to Apple Reminders or Calendar if you turn on those Pro features.
• To manage subscription access, free capture limits, and restore purchases.
• To provide support, troubleshoot issues, and improve app reliability.

Drift uses Anthropic Claude to classify, split, and clean up captured thoughts. After speech recognition creates text from your recording, Drift may send the transcribed text you spoke to Anthropic so Claude can return structured tasks, ideas, notes, and reminders. Drift does not send your audio file to Anthropic.

Anthropic receives the transcribed text only to provide the AI sorting response requested by the user. Anthropic is expected to protect this data under its applicable privacy, security, and data processing terms. Drift does not sell your personal information or use captured thoughts for third-party advertising.

• Microphone and speech recognition are used only when you press and hold to capture.
• Notifications are used for reminders and optional daily review alerts.
• Face ID is used only to lock and unlock Drift locally on your device if enabled.
• Apple Reminders and Calendar access are used only when you enable the corresponding sync features.
• Subscriptions and payments are processed by Apple. Drift does not receive or store your full payment card details.

Your saved Drift items remain in the app until you delete them or remove the app data from your device. Some subscription and transaction records are retained by Apple according to Apple policies. You may contact support for help with privacy requests related to information we control.

Drift is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
